Even though Xiaomi had originally planned to unveil the next-generation Mi 10 series, the company could not make it because of the abrupt cancellation of the event due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The long wait is over and the Lei Jun-owned company had launched the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite in Europe.
With Social distancing in place, the company launched the devices via a global live stream. The company claims that the new handsets come with the latest trending features and will be affordable for the masses.
Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Specifications
As the name suggests, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro variant shares common features in terms of the display and processor and other. The only difference is with regard to the battery, cameras and storage capacities.
The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ curved display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display offers a hole-punch placed on the top left corner is designed to accommodate the front-facing camera. You will be able to work faster during gaming because of the higher refresh rate.
Under the hood, both Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones are powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor alongside Adreno 640 graphics chipset. The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro offers quad-camera mechanism comprising of a 108MP primary camera sensor. The Mi 10 series is the first device to ship with a 108MP camera. The camera also provides support for 8K video recording support. The 108MP sensor in Mi 10 is supported by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensors respectively.
Meanwhile, the Mi 10 Pro ships with a 12MP 2x telephoto lens, an 8MP 5x telephoto lens and a 20MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The selfie segment offers a 20MP sensor.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite features a 6.57-inch AMOLED waterdrop notch display, Snapdragon 765G processor loaded with Android 10. The company is yet to reveal the RAM capacity of the device but the phone is available in both 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
On the optics, the Mi 10 Lite ships with a 48MP primary camera coupled with three secondary cameras. The front camera includes a 16MP sensor with support for LED Flash.
The smartphone borrows power via a 4160mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging support.
Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 Lite Price and Availability
The Xiaomi MI 10 with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at €799, while the Mi 10 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is up for grabs at €999 in Europe starting April 15.
The 64GB storage model of the Mi 10 Lite is priced at €350. You will be able to buy the 128GB storage variant at €400. The company is yet to reveal the sale date of the Mi 10 Lite.
To recall, Xiaomi was scheduled to launch the Mi 10 on March 30 in India. However, the company dropped the plans because of the 21 days lockdown as imposed by the Government to combat the COVID-19 outbreak.
