Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the launch of the DualSense Wireless Game Controller for PlayStation 5. The new features included with DualSense coupled with the PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech is capable of delivering a new experience to players. Moreover, developers will be able to implement the unique features into the next-generation games.
The DualSensor wireless game controller provides support for haptic feedback, which enables you to work with a wide range of powerful sensations during the course of the play.
For instance, you can have a real feel of the slow grittiness of driving a car through the mud. The company also integrated adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons of DualSense. You will be able to experience the tension of your actions such as drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.
Sony claims that the DualSense wireless game controller has been designed in such a way that the components fit into the hardware without sacrificing the overall size of the hardware. The triggers and actuators find a spot in a hotspot location after careful research by the design team. The designers worked together to create the exterior of the controller in a portable fashion. The main challenge was to make the controller feel smaller than its actual design.

Commenting on the development, Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment disclosed that DualSense marks a radical departure from the previous counterpart with new features capable of meeting ergonomic requirements. The new controller will provide excellent transformation for games, adds Ryan. The company continues to push the boundaries of play, now and in the future. The company is gearing up to launch PlayStation 5 by November 2020. The delay is attributed to the rapid spread of the deadly COVID-19 outbreak.
Sony has modified the angle of the hand triggers including significant updates to the grip. The battery capacity has been enhanced with a redesigned rechargeable battery. The DualSense wireless controller features a “Create” button for the buttons instead of the “Share” button in DualShock 4. The Create button can be used to create epic gameplay content to share with the world.
The newly launched DualSense controller integrates a microphone array, which will help you to interact with friends without a headset.
The company recommends you to make use of a headset for longer conversations. The DualSense is manufactured using a two-toned design and altered the position of the light bar. You will find the bar at each side of the touchpad, which gives a larger look and feel. The DualSense has been tested by popular gamers with several hand sizes. The intention of the product team was to build a controller with great ergonomics.
