More 5G Smartphones Designs On The Way
As of this writing, more than 70 smartphone designs have been released by smartphone companies after the initial introduction of the Snapdragon 865 platform in December 2019. There are reports that more than 1,750 designs are in the development lifecycle. We expect the trend to increase in the days to come.
Companies have lost a golden opportunity to introduce their designs to the outside world because of the disruption of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 due to the Coronavirus outbreak in China.
The Q1 2020 has turned out to be a nightmare for smartphone manufacturers because of the outbreak of Coronavirus. However, the situation will most likely improve with companies going ahead with their original plans to launch the trending 5G smartphones. The 5G smartphones released by Realme and iQOO are expensive. However, we expect companies to launch budget-friendly devices by the end of 2020 when the 5G technology achieves its peak.
