It’s lockdown time because of COVID-19 and users have been consuming the Internet from morning to midnight for various work-related activities. As part of the Corona Harega India Jeetega initiative, Reliance JioFiber is currently offering a 10Mbps broadband package for households. The new package will enable people to use the Internet for work at home activities.
With the closure of all tech companies, engineers have been working from home and this requires a massive amount of Internet bandwidth. According to sources, the daily data FUP limit has been pegged at 50GB at the speed of 10Mbps. You will have to pay a refundable deposit of INR 1500 along with the additional cost for the Jio router. However, the new connection will be available only in those locations where JioFiber service is available.
The Reliance JioFiber free plan is not free for the lifetime. You will have to opt for other plans after the Government removes the lockdown period. The plan mainly targets work at home professionals and when the Coronavirus infections are contained, the company will no longer offer the plan. You will be automatically moved to a new plan upon the end of the lockdown period.
To activate the free JioFiber 10mbps plan, you will have to register either from the official website or the MyJio app. You will receive the connection based on the feasibility of the location. You will have to purchase a router and pay a refundable deposit of INR 1500.
Reliance Jio Work From Home Plan
Reliance Jio also launched a special work from home plan with 2GB data at INR 251. The plan will be valid for 51 days without any calling or SMS benefits.
The company also updated the 4G vouchers and doubled the data benefits. If you already have a plan with 2GB FUP, you will get the benefit of the work from the home plan only after you exhaust your daily plan quota. The 3GB plan comes with 28 days validity alongside unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day at INR 349.
Reliance Jio Recharge At ATM
With the nationwide lockdown in place, Reliance Jio customers can now recharge their prepaid mobile numbers via ATM of selected banks. The company has established partnership with State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Citi Bank, DCB Bank, AUF Bank and Standard Chartered Bank for this initiative.
You should select the recharge option located under the ATM menu and follow the on-screen instructions. Reliance Jio will deliver a message upon a successful transaction.
