Within days after the acquisition of a minority stake by Facebook, Reliance Jio is reportedly gearing up to launch the next-generation video conferencing solution JioMeet. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) disclosed the plans to unveil the JioMeet platform while declaring the Q4 2019 results on April 30. The new tool will be launched under the Jio Platforms subsidiary, where Facebook has claimed a 9.9% stake to the tune of over INR 44,000 crores.
The company claims that JioMeet will offer HD quality experience across a wide range of devices. You will be able to login using email ID and password to join a conferencing session. Moreover, JioMeet will also provide OTP login functionality including the ability to join a video conference as a guest.

Reliance JioMeet Spotted on App Stores
Interestingly, the Reliance JioMeet app was spotted on Google Play Store and Apple App Store by a few media people immediately after the announcement by the company.
As of this writing, we are unable to find any listings. The company also created a dedicated landing page for the JioMeet with the URL – jiomeet.jio.com with the list of features initially. However, the page now displays the logo along with the caption “Thank you for your interest in JioMeet.”
In the past, Reliance Jio had launched JioChat and JioGroup apps with support for voice and video group calls. The imminent launch of JioMeet will be a deal-breaker since it changes the way you interact with people digitally. You will be able to experience the features of advanced platforms like Zoom.
