Realme is on the launching spree despite a steep decline in the market share over its competitors. After launching Realme 6 series and Realme Band, the company is gearing up to launch the next-generation Realme TV in India.
During the launch event on March 5, the realme CEO Madhav Sheth revealed that the Realme TV will launch in India soon. However, Sheth declined to reveal the exact time frame for the launch but gave a hint that there will be multiple models.
Previously, Realme’s Chief Marketing Officer, Xu Qi Chase also gave a hint regarding the launch of the TV during the sidelines of the Realme X50 launch in January. The company was planning to showcase the Realme TV during the MWC 2020 but was halted due to the cancellation of the mega event due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Possible Launch of Realme Soundbar
In addition to smart TVs, Realme is also planning to launch a wide range of consumer electronic gadgets such as Bluetooth speakers, soundbars including smart home and IoT products.
The company is looking ahead to diversify the portfolio to capture the lost market share. This could be the main reason for the competitive pricing of the realme Band. The price of INR 1,499 for the band with all the features will prove fatal for the established fitness trackers such as Mi Band 4.
Realme Smart Speaker
The company could also probably launch a smart speaker with Google Assistant. Even though Xiaomi had launched smart speakers in China, the company integrates its own AI, which only recognizes the Chinese language. Hence, the launch of a Realme smart speaker with either Alexa or Google will provide a much-needed relief from the standard Amazon Echo Dot speakers.
Realme TV Launch Date in India [Expected]
We expect the launch of the Realme TV before the end of Q2 2020 for a highly competitive price. Xiaomi is one of the leaders when it comes to the smart TV segment and if Realme can tap the market with rich features at an attractive price, then it could be a game-changer. The inclusion of a voice-driven remote control will also be a big bonus for tech-savvy customers. With the steady decline of traditional TVs, Smart TVs will play a pivotal role. Hence, there should be a choice for consumers from a wide range of selection, which will ultimately help them to decide on the purchase decision making process.
