Nepal’s tech hub has witnessed a rapid expansion of realme’s mobile segment in recent months. The company has recently launched two mid-range handsets, the realme 7 and realme 7i in the country. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting November 18, via online retail store Daraz and different brick and mortar stores.
Here are specs and price details of the new realme 7 smartphone-
The new realme 7 features a tall elongated body with a rectangular shaped camera module and dual-shade back panel. The handset is claimed to feature AG Split design which depicts the mirror space. The rear cover flaunts dual design with a smooth plain finish and realme branding on the left and a patterned texture on the right.
Upfront you will find a minimal bezel display with a small circular cutout at the top left corner. For biometrics, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. At the base sits the type-C charging port, audio jack, and speaker grill.
Coming to the technical aspects, realme 7 features a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1800 pixels and a circular cut-out on the top left corner. Unlike the Pro variant, the realme 7 does not feature an AMOLED panel but comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass.
In terms of hardware, realme 7 is the first smartphone to launch with MediaTek Helio G95. It’s the latest chipset from the company’s gaming-centric G-series. It features two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores. The handset comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
The device is available in two memory configurations – 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB, but only the higher-ender variant is available for purchase in Nepal as of now. In addition, the Carbon Fiber Cooling system serves as the real combo for hard-core gamers.
As for the optics, the realme 7 comes with a quad-camera setup that houses a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a sensor size of 1/1.73-inch. The primary sensor is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor (119-degree FoV), a B&W sensor, and a macro lens. The four cameras are arranged vertically inside the rectangular camera bump.
For selfies and video calls, realme has implemented a 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor with an f/2.1 aperture. It supports 1080P recording at 30fps and slo-mo videos at 120fps. Among other regular features, the camera software offers Starry Mode (to capture the night sky) and different night modes for better photos in low light.
The USP of the realme 7 is its huge 5000mAh battery and 30W Dart Charge support. The company claims that with 30W Dart Charge support, the device can get charged up to 50 percent within 26 minutes.
The phone runs Android 10 with a realme UI layer on top. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band WiFi. For security, it houses an instant side-mounted fingerprint sensor too.
The new realme 7 price in Nepal is Rs. 35,990. Although realme launched two storage variants, the company has brought the high-end 8GB RAM/128GB version in Nepal. Available in two color options: Mist Blue and Mist White, the smartphone is available for purchase via Daraz and offline stores across the country.
