Just a couple of weeks after the launch of the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro in India, the Chines tech company has finally launched its new smartphone in Myanmar named Realme 6i. The smartphone is the latest, more affordable addition to the Realme 6 lineup but doesn’t cut back on the specs and feature set.
The main highlight of the Realme 6i handset is the integration of the world’s first MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and 48MP primary camera sensor. The handset is designed based on its existing Realme X Onion and Garlic Master Edition variants (created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa). You will feel the real premium finish despite the plastic build and a budget price tag.
The Realme 6i flaunts a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600x720p) waterdrop notch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 89.8% screen-to-body ratio.
As I mentioned earlier, under the hood, the Realme 6i is powered by the world’s first MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. It was announced earlier this year, alongside the Helio G70 chipset that powers the Reame C3. The smartphone is available in two RAM variants i.e. 3GB and 4GB comprising of 64GB and 128GB onboard storage respectively. You can also extend the storage via a MicroSD card.
Taking about the optics, the Realme 6i boasts a quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor respectively. On the front, there is a 16MP f/2.0 camera for selfies and video calling housed in the waterdrop notch up-front.
Moreover, the Realme 6i works under Realme UI based on Android 10 and is fueled by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The addition of a USB Type-C port helps you to quickly charge the handset.
Realme 6i is available in two color options i.e. Green Tea and White Milk. Priced at KS. 249,900 (~NPR 20,700) and KS. 299,900 (~NPR 24,900) for the 3GB+64GB base variant and 4GB+128GB variant, the smartphone will be up for pre-order starting tomorrow.
As part of the launch offer, the company is offering Realme tees and a mini Bluetooth speaker for all customers who pre-order the smartphone. The realme 6i will be available for sale on all retail stores from March 29 in Myanmar, but we can expect the launch of the device in Nepal next month.
