Realme 6 Series launched in India starting at Rs 12,999: Everything you want to know

In a bid to disrupt the smartphone market scenario, Realme has launched the flagship Realme 6 series starting at INR 12999 for the 4GB RAM variant. In addition to the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro, the company also launched Realme Band. The main attraction of the Realme 6 series is that the smartphones provide support for 90Hz Ultra Smooth Display. Moreover, the devices are manufactured under the Make in India initiative. The Realme features Helio G90T chipset coupled with 64MP AI Quad Camera. If you look at the Realme 6 Pro, the device gets the adequate working power via Snapdragon 720G processor. The Realme Band with a large 0.96-inch display is available for a competitive price of INR 1499.

Realme 6

The Realme 6 flaunts a 6.5-inch FHD+ Corning Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the Realme 6 ships with MediaTek Helio G90T processor and ARM G76 graphics processor. The chipset is designed to run at a speed up to 2.05GHz.

The smartphone ships with quad-camera comprising of 64MP (f/1.8) Samsung GW1 primary sensor, 8MP (f/2.3) 119-degree ultra-wide-angle 5P lens, 12MP telephoto (f/2.4) portrait 3P lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro 3P lens respectively. The handset offers an in-display selfie camera with 16MP (f/2.0) sensor.

You will work with Realme UI based on Android 10 operating platform alongside splash-resistant design. The device borrows power via a 4300mAh battery with 30W flash charging technology. The product package comes bundled with a 5V/6A charger alongside USB Type-C port. You may be able to charge completely within 60 minutes. In addition to all the standard sensors, the Realme 6 includes a side-fingerprint sensor claiming to unlock within 0.29 seconds.

Unlike Realme 5 Pro, the newly launched Realme 6 Pro boasts a massive 6.6-inch Fullscreen FHD+ (2400×1080) Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display. If you are currently working with Realme 5 Pro, then you will find the new version a significant improvement. On the internals, the Realme 6 Pro features a Snapdragon 720G processor and Adreno 618 processor. The chipset is manufactured using an 8nm processor, which will help the device to render extreme graphics without any heat. The storage starts from 64GB and cranks up to 128GB. You can either opt for 6GB or 8GB RAM variants. The company has kicked out the 4GB RAM model.

While the rear side is same as the Realme 6, the front-facing camera includes major changes. The handset offers dual in-display selfie comprising of 16MP (Sony IMX 471, f/2.0) wide-angle camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The battery department is identical to the standard variant with 30W flash charging technology. You will receive a protective case along with both smartphones.

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro: Pricing and Availability

The Realme 6 is being currently sold below INR 10000 price tag but the company hiked the price of the Realme 6 4GB/64GB RAM variant to INR 12999. The 6GB RAM model with 128GB storage costs INR 14999, while the 8GB RAM/128GB variant is up for grabs at INR 15999. You will be able to buy the handset on Realme.com, Flipkart and offline stores. The first flash sale is on March 11, 12 PM.

Talking about the Realme 6 Pro, the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage costs INR 16999. While the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model is priced at INR 17999, the 8GB RAM model with 128GB storage can be added to the cart for INR 18999. The company is yet to reveal the launch date for the Pro model.

The Realme Band includes a 0.96-inch color display, heart rate monitor, smart notifications, sleep quality monitor, sports tracker including personalized dial faces. The band includes a dedicated Cricket mode and is resistant to water via IP68 technology. You can directly charge the fitness tracker directly via USB without any need for extra cables and docks. The companion Realme Link Smart App helps you to sync the band data with your smartphone. You just need to sleep by wearing the band and the data can be recorded on the app.

Realme Band Price in India

Realme has beaten competitors by pricing the band aggressively at INR 1499, which is comparatively less than Mi Band 4.
