Realme 6 Could Be First 90Hz Display Smartphone Under INR 10,000

Realme 6 will be first smartphone to have 90Hz Display under 10K

With only a few days left for the official launch of the Realme 6 series, there are talks on the town about the rumored specifications and pricing. According to reports, the Realme 6 will feature 90Hz display and will be priced below INR 10,000. If you look at the Realme 5, the device was priced below INR 10,000 tag and we expect the same for the upcoming series as well.

In addition to the Realme 6, the company will also launch Realme Band with new features such as Cricket mode.

Realme 6 Key Specifications

The Realme 6 will ship with a 64MP AI primary camera coupled with 30W fast-charging capability. The punch-hole on the front will replace the dew-drop notch display. The camera will offer 20x zooming using which you can capture crisp and clear images. The brand claims that the device can be charged 40 percent within 15 minutes via the ultra-fast charging. The addition of the 90Hz display will give the brand a definite advantage over its competitors.

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Camera

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Specifications

The Realme 6 series will boast a large 6.5-inch IPS display. While the Realme 5 carried a 6.5-inch display, the Pro version display was trimmed at 6.3-inch. We expect the company to include the same 6.5-inch display, which will attract customers.

You need not have to expect an AMOLED display for this price range. However, there can be pleasant surprises during the launch event like the possible inclusion of AMOLED on the Pro variant.

According to the news emerging from the rumor mills, the smartphones will ship with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of the traditional circle-shape sensor on the rear.

The devices will be pre-loaded with Realme UI based on Android 10 operating platform. Realme is smart when it comes to the delivery of software updates.

On the internals, the Realme 6 will ship with Helio G90, while the Pro counterpart will work under a Snapdragon 720G processor.

We expect the company to launch the devices in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants. The 64MP primary camera is well supported by an ultra-wide lens, telephone lens, and ultra-macro lens respectively. The telephoto lens provides support for 20x zoom functionality. The handset comes with punch holed dual selfie camera but we don’t have any information about the capacity. However, we expect a 16MP primary front camera alongside a 2MP secondary lens.

Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro Specifications

The Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 665 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage pre-loaded with ColorOS 6. The rear side flaunts a 12MP primary camera paired with 8MP, 2MP, and 2MP secondary sensors. The front camera offers a 13MP sensor with LED Flash. The handset borrows power via a powerful 5000mAh battery.

Talking about the Realme 5 Pro, the handset boasts a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 712 processor, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB internal storage capacities.

On the rear, you will find 64MP primary camera with 8MP, 2MP, and 2MP secondary sensors. The selfies can be snapped via a 16MP sensor. The battery capacity is 4035mAH, which is comparatively less than the Realme 5. However, the company has slapped VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 charging technology.

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Price in India

The Realme 6 is expected to start at INR 9,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. The company could probably hike the default 3GB RAM with 4GB. The Realme 6 Pro with 4GB RAM will start at INR 13,999. We can’t rule out the possibility of the company increasing the cost by INR 14,999 and hiking the storage to 128GB.

That being said, you should accept the facts only with a pinch of salt since there is no official confirmation. The company will also throw in additional INR 1,000 discount for the first flash sale.

The Realme 6 series will launch on March 5, 2020, at 12.30 PM IST. You can watch the live proceedings on YouTube including live updates on the official social media handles. Anyway, be prepared to increase your shirt’s pocket-size to accommodate the large Realme 6.
