With the rapid spike in the launch of audio accessories such as earbuds and earphones, Qualcomm has announced the launch of QCC514X and QCC304X power-saving Bluetooth SoCs with new audio technologies for True wireless earphones.
Going forward, we can expect the integration of these new technologies in a wide range of audio products. The QCC514X chipset will be used to supply power for premium products, while the QCC304X SOCs are mainly used along with affordable and mid-range true wireless earphones. The new chipsets also provide support for noise cancellation functionalities.
The QCC514X and QCC304X chipsets provide support for Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and TrueWireless Mirroring.
Qualcomm has integrated these new technologies into the hardware level. With the help of the TrueWireless Mirroring, you will be able to swap the primary connection with the source device with dual earphones. You will be able to work with the earphones not only without interruptions but also offers stronger connectivity.
The integration of Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation technology enables the earphones to render an improved listening experience naturally.
Moreover, the always-on voice assistant functionality helps you to activate the relevant voice assistant without pressing any buttons. You just need to speak the wake word to activate the assistant.
The newly launched QCC514X and QCC304X chipsets are capable of delivering an enhanced battery life because of power usage optimizations.
According to Qualcomm, the new chipsets will deliver up to 13 hours of working time upon normal usage. The overall size of the charging case will decline to a pocket-size as in the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Buds+. You also need not have to charge multiple times.
In addition to the above-mentioned new technologies, the new chipsets provide support for CVC noise cancellation including aptX Bluetooth codecs.
The launch of new earphones with the new chipsets will be most likely delayed because of the COVID-19 outbreak. We expect companies like Blitzwolf to launch new earphones with the new Qualcomm chipsets by Q3 2020.
