OPPO Watch with dual-curved AMOLED display, real-time heart rate monitoring launched in Nepal

OPPO Watch that made its global debut in July, has finally arrived in Nepal’s tech market. Notably, it’s the Chinese tech firm’s first Wear OS smartwatch that comes in two dial size- 41mm and 46mm. Design-wise the watch looks similar to Apple Watch with a square-shaped dial. Let’s take a look at the details in brief.

OPPO Watch Specifications and Features

OPPO Watch is a facsimile of the premium Apple Watch. The square display features an AMOLED panel and has curves over the edges. The device is packed in a glass sandwich, and the frame is built of 6000-series aluminum. The rear panel of the case has tapered edges and is made of plastic.

The heart-rate monitor that sits at the back panel center is either ceramic (46mm) or plastic (41mm). The aluminum frame accommodates two buttons on the right side, one of which (with the emerald green accent) is a programmable short key. The left side house the speaker that activates Google Assistant on voice command. OPPO notes that the watch strap is made of fluoro-rubber material.

As far as other specs are concerned, the OPPO Watch 41mm model sports a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a 320 x 360-pixel resolution. Meanwhile, the 46mm variant has a 1.91-inch dual-curved AMOLED panel with a resolution of 420 x 476 pixels and 326ppi pixel density.

OPPO Watch’s Flexible Dual-Curved Display

OPPO has provided a near two-year-old Snapdragon 3100 Wear platform on the OPPO Watch. However, the performance isn’t sluggish, and there’s an Ambiq Apollo3 co-processor as well for power efficiency. The Snapdragon processor runs Smart mode, while the Apollo chip enables the Power Save mode that offers heart rate monitoring, notifications, and step tracking functionality.

Pre-loaded apps on the smartwatch include- clock, stopwatch, and timer. Besides, there are apps for guided workouts and breathing exercises.

The smartwatch can track five sports profile- swimming, outdoor run, cycling, calorie burn, and walking. Along with real-time heart rate monitoring, it has five inbuilt sensors to track exercises. The watch utilizes OPPO’s Hey Tap Health companion app to sync heart rate, sleep tracking, workouts, steps, and other daily activities with your phone. It also acts as a go-to-app to manage watch faces from your phone’s photo gallery.

OPPO Watch comes with 5ATM resistance, which means it can withstand splashes from rain and dust ingress. The battery package differs depending on the variant. The 41mm variant carries a 300mAh battery and promises 24 hours backup with Smart mode and 14 days with Power Save mode.

In contrast, the 46mm model packs a 430mAh battery and offers a backup of 36 hours on Smart mode and 21 days on Power Save mode. Both the variants come with the proprietary VOOC Flash Charge support that is rated to charge up the gadget in 75 minutes fully.

Charge It in Minutes, Use It for Days. Up to 21-Day Battery Life.

The OPPO Watch has NFC, GPS support, and LTE available on the 46mm model. There’s Google Fit and support for a range of third-party apps too.
