HMD Global has announced the specifications of the Nokia C2 smartphone ahead of the official launch. The launch of the Nokia C2 is scheduled for March 19. The main highlight of the Nokia C2 is the integration of Android Go based on Android 9 Pie. The smartphone will ship with lighter versions of the various apps such as YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, and others. These apps not only help you to browse the relevant content quickly but also consumes fewer resources.
Unlike the latest smartphones, the Nokia C2 includes a removable cover and it helps you to access the battery compartment easily. Moreover, the polycarbonate cover provides a premium finish to the look and feel of the device.
Nokia C2 Specifications & Features
The Nokia C2 flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display with an 18:9 display ratio. Nokia has adopted old specifications at a time when 19:9 displays are ruling the world.
Under the hood, the smartphone ships with a Unisoc quad-core processor running at a clock speed of 1.4GHz. The 1GB RAM provides adequate power for the device. The default 16GB internal storage can be extended up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. The low-end specifications are justified because the handset is pre-loaded with Android Go, which consumes fewer resources.
On the optics, the Nokia C2 will bear with a 5MP rear camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture and auto-focus support. The addition of LED Flash on both rear and front helps you to capture images clearly. The front-facing camera only offers a 5MP HDR sensor, which is low when compared with the latest trend.
The handphone draws power via the integrated 2800mAh battery with support for 5V/1A charging technology.
In addition to Wi-Fi, the Nokia C2 provides support for Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, AGPS and all standard sensors such as ambient light, proximity sensor, and Accelerometer. The dedicated Google Assistant button enables you to fetch answers to queries. The device also includes a headphone port, FM radio receiver, and a microphone. To work with FM radio, you need to connect the headset. The phone will work with all major bands with a network speed of LTE Cat 4.
The Android Go included with Nokia C2 ships with YouTube Go using which you can download, enjoy and share videos. The app is designed to work with limited storage devices including slower network speeds. With the Gallery Go app, you can perform one-tap editing of all your photos for reviving the memories.
