Nokia 7.2 Refreshes With Stable Android 10 Update Globally

HMD Global has released a stable Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2 smartphone. The arrival of the stable Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2 has been confirmed by Juho Sarvikas aka @sarvikas on Twitter. The smartphone is loaded with Android One and hence the apps are lightweight when compared with full-fledged Android devices. The Nokia 7.2 was launched at IFA 2019 loaded with the Android 9.0 Pie operating platform. The company had revealed the availability of the full OS upgrade during the launch event.

It is to be noted that the Nokia phones are ranked number one for software updates and security. The company assures 2 years of software upgrades and 3 years of monthly security updates for all Nokia smartphones.

The Android 10 update for Nokia 7.2 provides support for sound amplifier, which significantly boosts the sound quality when used with headphones.

The module boosts, filters and fine-tunes the audio according to your requirements. The update also brings in Family Link parental controls included within the phone’s settings. After the installation of the Android 10 update, you will be able to work with gestures, native dark mode, privacy and location controls including improved user experience.

If you are currently working with the Nokia 7.2, you should verify for the presence of the update. You will receive an update message notification when the update hits your Nokia 7.2.

Alternatively, you can also manually verify for the presence of the update by tapping the System updates panel. The update is currently being rolled out in an incremental manner and hence it will take a few days for the new update to hit your devices.

The update will be available to all Nokia 7.2 users within one month. Nokia will likely resolve the bugs before rolling out the update to a wider audience.

HMD Global Nokia 7.2 Specifications

The Nokia 7.2 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2280, 19:9, 400PPI) IPS Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display. Under the hood, the Nokia 7.2 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, Adreno 512 graphics chipset with support for HDR10. The smartphone is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The 4GB RAM model comes with 64GB storage. However, the 6GB RAM variant is up for grabs in both 64GB and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage capacities. You will be able to extend the storage via the microSD card slot.

On the optics, the Nokia 7.2 offers a triple camera comprising of 48MP (f/1.8), 8MP (f/2.2) and 5MP (f/2.4) sensors respectively. The selfie segment is flavored with a 20MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera provides support for PDAF, HDR, LED Flash and Panorama including Zeiss optics.

The Nokia 7.2 borrows power via a 3500mAh battery with support for 10W standard charging.
