The revived Nokia 5310 XpressMusic following its debut in India has now paved its way to the Nepal mobile market. The Nokia-branded feature phone was showcased in the global mobile phone hub in March this year. Although HMD Global didn’t specify the revamped feature phone’s availability during its launch the XpressMusic phone is slowly outreaching its fan-base.
Nokia’s parent company tried betting big on the brand’s nostalgic factor in the past, be it with the classic Nokia 3310, the Nokia 8110 Banana phone, or the Nokia 2720 flip phone. The revamped Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone comes with a few tweaks in terms of design aesthetics. Killing off the slim form factor, HMD Global had rather brought a rather bulky phone (likely to fit in the 1200mAh battery).
However, the good part is now you get a slightly bigger screen, a week’s worth of battery usage, and front-firing dual speakers. As per early reviewers, the front-facing speakers are claimed to be as loud as it’s meant to be and offer crisp audio quality. Similar to the original model, the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic 2020 features dedicated buttons for music playback control and volume. In addition, you get built-in FM Radio and MP3 player.

As far as the price and availability are concerned, Teletalk Pvt. Ltd (the ‘official distributor’ of Nokia smartphones in Nepal), cited that the feature phone will carry a price tag of NRs 5,449.00. The Nokia feature phone comes in two color options- Black/Red and White/Red. The phone also covers 365 days replacement guaranty, just in case anything goes wrong with the device.
