HMD Global has shown great commitment over the last several years by throwing out new Android updates. Moreover, the company also released new Android updates even for entry-level smartphones. 2020 is no different for the Finland-based company because the Android 10 update for budget-friendly Nokia 2.2 handset is currently on the air.

Juho Sarvikas, who works as the Chief Product Officer took to Twitter and revealed the availability of the Android 10 update for the Nokia 2.2.

The update ships with performance-enhancing features and capabilities. Moreover, Sarvikas prompted users to stay tuned for the Android 10 update for other Nokia smartphones. The tweet also includes a mini animation, which displays the smartphone along with the relevant update availability message.

Nokia 2.2. Android 10 Update Features

The Android 10 update for the Nokia 2.2 includes dark mode support using which you can easily read without eye strain. With the help of Gesture navigation, you will be able to perform swipe to perform a wide range of activities. The update ships with Google Security Patch for February 2020 along with additional controls for privacy and location.

If you work with Nokia 2.2, you should check for the presence of the update. Alternatively, you can also tap on the Settings icon. It will take a few days to receive the required update notification depending upon the location. The company recommends you to make use of the Wi-Fi to avoid disruption during the update process.

Nokia 2.2 Specifications and Features

The Nokia 2.2 flaunts a 5.71-inch HD+ Always-on display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. The screen offers a pixel density of 295 PPI with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, the Nokia 2.2 is powered by an Helio A22 processor paired with a PowerVR GE8320 graphics chipset. The smartphone is available in both 2GB and 3GB RAM variants comprising of 16GB and 32GB expandable internal storage capacities.

Even though the Nokia 2.2 is upgradeable to Android 10, the smartphone ships pre-loaded with Android 9.0 Pie based on Android One.

While the rear side features a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, the front-facing camera comes with a 5MP camera. You can capture FHD videos at 30fps using both the rear and front camera sensors. Moreover, the rear camera provides support for LED Flash, HDR and panorama features including autofocus.

A 3000mAh battery fuels adequate working horsepower for the device. The phone is available in Tungsten Black and Steel color variants.
