Huawei Y7p With 48MP Triple AI Camera Launched in Nepal

After the weeks of rumors and teasers, Huawei has finally added a new member in its Y-series lineup with the launch the Huawei Y7p in Nepal. Launched with a price tag of NPR 23,990, the smartphone comes with Huawei’s official app distribution platform – HUAWEI AppGallery to search, download, manage and share mobile apps.

Huawei Y7p Specifications and Features

The Huawei Y7p flaunts a 6.39-inch HD+ (1560 x 720p) punch-hole IPS display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The display panel is almost bezel-less with an 82.4% screen-to-body ratio. It would have been nice to have a full HD+ resolution for this device seeing its screen to body ratio. However, since the Huawei Y7p is a device between an entry-level and mid-range, the HD+ resolution is expected.

Under the hood, the Y7p comes with an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 710F chipset paired with Mali-G51 GPU. It’s the same SoC that you can see on Huawei’s mid-range smartphones like in the Y7 Prime 2019. The handphone is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot.

Taking about the camera, the Huawei Y7p boasts a triple AI camera setup on the rear composed of an f/1.8 48MP main, f/2.4 8MP ultra-wide, and an f/2.4 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone houses an f/2.0 8MP selfie shooter.

Out-of-the-box, the Huawei Y7p runs on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie. Here’s the important thing to note, the Y7p does not have any Google Mobile Services installed. Instead, the device comes with Huawei Mobile Services and comes with hosts of apps including AppGallery, which is pretty much Huawei’s equivalent of Google’s Play Store.

For biometrics, the Huawei Y7p has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock as well. And finally, the smartphone packs a 4,000mAh non-user removable battery with no quick-charging support and offers a 10W charging adapter inside the box. And unfortunately, for USB Type-C fans, there is a micro-USB port.
