Candy Crush Saga Brings Free, Unlimited Lives For Android And iOS Users

The unprecedented lockdown due to COVID-19 spread is taking a heavy toll on people’s day to day activities. While companies have called for the temporary closure of the workplace to curb the spread of the disease, some employees who are trying work from the home strategy for the first time are finding it difficult to cope up in the new silent ambient.

To overcome the taedium vitae, some of us are either trying to learn new skills or complete tasks from the resolution list that have long been lying in the dusted shelf. If you are among those folks who rather like to spend time-solving puzzles, mobile game developer King who designed the popular game Candy Crush Saga has some good news for you.

The developer is adding free, unlimited lives to the popular Candy Crush Saga mobile puzzle games. The bonus will be available for players till April 5 and it is introduced as part of the #PlayApartTogether, an initiative from WHO (World Health Organization).

The campaign encourages users (in the gaming space) to follow WHO’s health guidelines like social distancing, hand hygiene, and other preventive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Candy Crush Saga posted in its official Twitter handle,

We’ve partnered with @WHO to encourage our players to #PlayApartTogether. The best thing we can do to protect one another is to spend some time apart and follow physical distancing guidelines. To help, we’re offering unlimited lives across most of our games until 5th April.

The Verge in its report said that the update with free lives will be available in seven games- Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Candy Crush Jelly Saga, Candy Crush Friends Saga, Farm Heroes Saga, Bubble Witch 3 Saga, and Pet Rescue Saga.

Matching those colored candies is always fun but waiting for those red hearts for hours once out of lives has been frustrating at times. However, with the update, it will at least rescue from the blind alley for a few days. The free, unlimited lives in Candy Crush Saga will be available both on Android and iOS.
