Apple unveils new iPad Pro A12Z Bionic chip, starts at Rs 71,900

Apple on Wednesday announced the all-new iPad Pro featuring the A12Z Bionic chip. Apple claims its addition to the iPad lineup is faster and more powerful than most Windows PC laptops. The new iPad Pro comes with an Ultra-Wide camera, a LiDAR Scanner for depth-sensing capabilities, among others. The LiDAR Scanner, combined with other offerings such as camera, motion sensors, and Liquid Retina display, makes the iPad Pro a wholesome package.

Apple has made the new iPad Pro will go on sale in India soon. Meanwhile, the company’s retail stores outside mainland China continue to remain closed ‘until further notice’ amid the ongoing coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

Apple’s brand-new iPad Pro runs iPadOS 13.4 operating system out-of-the-box. Plus, the company has also brought support for the trackpad. Elaborating on the trackpad support, here’s what Apple has to say:

“Rather than copying the experience from macOS, trackpad support has been completely reimagined for iPad. As users move their finger across the trackpad, the pointer elegantly transforms to highlight user interface elements.”

The trackpad also enables multi-touch gestures for faster interaction.

Here comes the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro

In addition to the iPad Pro, Apple has taken the wraps off the new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro. The keyboard flaunts a floating design with a backlit keyboard and trackpad. Apple will start selling the Magic Keyboard starting May.

Internally, powering the iPad Pro is the new A12Z Bionic chip. The eight-core eight-core GPU and CPU in the A12Z Bionic combined with its Neural Engine is expected to offer powerful performance.

Apple claims the iPad Pro’s battery will last up to 10 hours with moderate usage.

The all-new iPad Pro sports edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display. It comes in two display variants: 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes, with refresh rate up to 120 Hz. In terms of optics, the Apple iPad Pro houses a 12MP Wide camera with support for 4K video recording, in addition to a 10MP Ultra-Wide camera.

The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at INR 71,900 for the Wi-Fi model and goes up to INR 85,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. Meanwhile, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at INR 89,900 for the Wi-Fi model and goes up to INR 1,03,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

The Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro will cost INR 27,900 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and INR 31,900 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
